‘Od Kyi Lus  has a background in theoretical physics, computational neuroscience, set theory and mathematical logic, as well as philosophy. Lus as studied nonlinear information processing, computation and neural systems, deep learning programs, subjectivity and truth, critical cultural analysis, painting. Completed graduate work studying at California College of the Arts, UC Berkeley Stanford, and Tibetan Nyingma, Kagyu and Dzogchen.


The fundamental thesis of Lus’ work is that primary intelligence and consciousness are a fundamental property of networked entities, which she calls data sets, and therefore, these cannot be derived from anything else, since both are an all-pervasive simple substance with intelligence being primary and consciousness being a secondary data set. Lus’ definition of data is “a trace, a mark, a code, character, alpha-numeric or otherwise, pervaded by primary intelligence. Data is the dynamic energy of primary intelligence.”


At the age of 13, Lus began the Yale Mathematics Program in set theory. She then used set theory to formulate advances in computer science, information theory and philosophy. At the age of 18, she was invited to the the UCLA Summer Program for Young Philosophers based on her article critiquing Samuel Johnson’s The History of Rasselas, Prince of Abissinia. Her postgraduate education was informed by UC Berkeley and Harvard philosopher and professor Stephen Goldstine and most especially her expository piece on his seminar on Robert Musil’s A Man Without Qualities. Lus was educated by French philosopher Michel Foucault’s history of institutions and his discourse on truth and subjectivity, as well as by John Hennessy of Stanford in his critical analysis of her use of FPGAs for reconfigurable computing, and by philosopher Martin Guttman of Stanford in his reflections on Lus computing technologies of the self. During this period, Lus studied the history and application of computers and software and she began building both hardware and software, drawing on a wide range of research experience in Silicon Valley including at Stanford, Xerox Parc and venture capital firms Sequoia and Mayfield. 



Lus is a recognized holder and Lama of the Tibetan Nyingma, Kagyu, and Dzogchen lineages, studying with His Holiness Minling Trichen Rinpoche, throneholder of the Mindrolling Lineage and Supreme Head of the Nyingma Lineage, as well as Venerable Wangdor Rimpoche, holder of His Holiness Thuksey Rinpoche’s Drukpa Kagyu Lineage and His Holiness Dudjom Rimpoche’s, Nyingma Lineage, of which Dudjom Rinpoche served as the Supreme Head. Additionally, Lama is authorized as the founder of a new lineage called Furtherance of Dzogchen. Lus has been endowed with empowerments, transmissions and permissions to transmit Furtherance of Dzogchen, which is equivalent to a doctorate in philosophy in the West. 


Most recently, Lus discovered the subatomic and quantum correlates of primary intelligence and consciousness, and developed algorithmic comprehensive maps related to this discovery. Feinberg argues that everything has some degree of data (information) integration. This led to Feinberg’s invention of friendly, ethical primary intelligence, mind, consciousness and intentionality, a digital tertiary interface with primary intelligence which is a super-intelligence within a neural network architecture and deep learning programs. Lus performs groundbreaking research in the areas of Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics,  Extraction, Summarization & Question Answering, Information Retrieval, Text Mining & Analytics, Knowledge Representation, Reasoning & Acquisition, Language Technologies for Education, Machine Learning, Machine Translation, Multimodal Computing and Interaction, Speech Processing, and Spoken Interfaces & Dialogue Processing.


In November 2017, Lus authored The Indivisible Solution for Panpsychism in response to the combination problem of panpsychism. Lus concludes that the constraints imposed by the combination problem of Chalmers are so weak that the challenge is tractable. This tractability pointed Lus toward the solution for a fundamental theory and general purpose deep learning algorithm for the all-pervasive primary intelligence of consciousness. Next, utilizing computer science philosophy and methodologies, and based on the general purpose deep learning algorithm for democratization of intelligence, Lus is developing the theoretical  and program basis for coding intelligence, mind, consciousness and intentionality within a friendly, ethical framework for neural network architectures.
